1. Call to order – Jane Goudie called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Bert Lowry and Harold Kenyon joined us via telephone. Harold Kenyon is the minister at Carman/Elm Creek.

2. Opening Meditation Harold Kenyon offered an opening prayer.

3. Adoption of the Agenda – Bob Durston moved adoption of the agenda, seconded by Judy Elgert. Carried

4. Adoption of the Minutes – Bob Durston moved adoption of the Jan. 21, 2020 minutes, seconded by Brian Elgert. Carried

6. Old Business

A) Policy and Procedures Manual


Motion made by Bob Durston and seconded by Judy Elgert. That the Board accept theNeepawa United Church Policies and Procedures Manual as amended at Feb. 18, 2020. Carried.


The approval of the Manual by the Congregation will be on the AGM Agenda.


7. New Business

A) Recommendation of the Minister Search Committee

Brian Bailey brought forth some information from the Minister Search Committee.


Motion made by Brian Bailey and seconded by Brian Elgert. That the Neepawa United Church Board (upon recommendation of the Search Committee) request the Prairie to Pine Regional Council Pastoral Relations Commission to give detailed direction and permissions for next steps in the pursuit of a possible Ecumenical Shared Ministry between the Neepawa United Church and St. James Anglican Church, Neepawa. Carried.


This will include the Prairie to Pine Pastoral Relations Minister (Judy Hare) initiating conversations with Bishop William Cliff and the General Council Staff to clarify where St. James is in their current life cycle and the requirements related to governance structure, hiring processes and timelines.
